Frequently Asked Question
My laptop screen keeps falling asleep in the middle of a class presentation!
Last Updated about a month ago
By default, Windows laptops dim or sleep quickly to save battery power. You can change this behavior for when you are plugged into a wall outlet:
- Go to Start > Settings > System > Power & battery.
- Click on Screen and sleep to expand the options.
- Change the setting for "When plugged in, turn off my screen after..." and "When plugged in, put my device to sleep after..." to a longer duration (like 1 hour or Never) so your presentations aren't interrupted.
